Most of the semester projects are carried out in cooperation with business. This means that our students have the opportunity of working closely with these companies at both national and international level. They can thus make important contacts and acquire valuable practical experience.
Together with our partners in the public and private sector, such as the municipalities of Graz and Leoben, Holding Graz, Pro Holz Steiermark and CG Group Berlin, you will research a range of current topics in the field of architecture.
The real background of the projects as an expression of real customer requirements is an ideal preparation for a subsequent career in architecture. Competitive projects also simulate real life situations, demanding the fulfilment of tendering requirements within a specified timescale as well as special experience in interpreting related tasks. Generalised training gives the student an opportunity to pursue and develop projects in depth. The experience is enhanced by insights into the cross-connections between courses and the contexts of architectural assignments.
Our students often go on to make these research topics the subject of their Master’s thesis. This opens up excellent job and careers prospects.
