To graduate from your degree programme, you must:
Your title on graduation will be “Master of Arts in Arts and Design (MA)”.
As part of their Master’s thesis, students are required to demonstrate their successful professional training at a scientific and design level. They therefore independently work on a topic relevant to the course. The fourth semester is used to complete the Master’s thesis.
The candidate is finally admitted to the Master’s exam once the thesis has been marked as a pass.
Topics for the thesis can be proposed by the student, a lecturer or an interested party from the world of business. Several students can explore the same topic as long as the contributions of each individual student can be assessed separately.
During their Master’s thesis, students have access to the usual resources which are available during their studies. There is no entitlement to special resources!
The Master’s exam takes place before an examination board comprising examiners with relevant professional experience. This examination requires the students to present and defend their Master’s thesis as well as passing an oral exam. The examination board consists of the chairperson and three other people.
After completing their Master’s degree, the graduates are free to enter the world of work or continue their academic career by undertaking a PhD.
