The Construction Management and Engineering course includes cross-disciplinary projects in the fields of industrial building construction and bridge construction. These projects span the stages from conceptual and constructive design to construction and project management. They are often led by instructors from the practical field who contribute their knowledge and the expertise of their company.
As part of this project, students are working on a road bridge constructed of reinforced concrete starting with the design and taking it through the constructive design stage including schedule management, budgeting, economic optimisation and organisation. Students work on this in teams. They also work on the economic optimisation of variant analysis which forms the basis of a post-project presentation and discussion with lecturers.
The focus of this project is on industrial building construction at an international level. Design, organisation, types of contract, economic optimisation and contracting of services are some of the topics tackled by our students. Most projects are carried out in English.
