A university entrance qualification entitling students to study for a degree within the Medicine and Veterinary Medicine group of studies will be fully recognised for this degree programme.

The final assessment of medical suitability is the responsibility of the head of degree programme.
We recommend completing a first aid course (16 hours) before the start of the degree programme. We also recommend that you complete a voluntary career-specific internship in order to gain an insight into the profession.
All future students of Biomedical Science must submit confirmation of the vaccinations prescribed by FH JOANNEUM upon enrolment. This is a requirement of various work placement centres so that contact with patients can be maintained. The submission of a complete vaccination record is therefore a prerequisite for admission to the Biomedical Science degree programme.
