Do you want to expand your horizons and experience emerging markets at first hand? You can spend your third semester abroad at one of our partner universities. FH JOANNEUM has a university network of over 200 partners around the world and aims to expand continuously in order to offer you even more exchange opportunities.
The Master’s degree programme in Business in Emerging Markets is part of the Institute of International Management, which compromises the largest network of partner universities at FH JOANNEUM. Currently, you can expand your horizon at 31 of our partner universities in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Within the framework of this mandatory semester abroad, a total of 30 ECTS have to be collected. All courses you select must be assignable to one of the following areas, with a minimum of 5 ECTS from each type, i.e. at least 5 ECTS respectively from “Type A”, “Type B” and “Type C” must be provided:
Additionally (“Type D”), a maximum of 5 ECTS points can be acknowledged for foreign language courses abroad, whereby English language courses are not possible.
Our Master’s degree programme in Business in Emerging Markets has established cooperation agreements with specially selected partner universities on three continents. Their curricula overlap with course content offered by FH JOANNEUM, while you also have the opportunity to specialise in a particular field. You will not have to pay tuition fees at our partner universities.
With a double degree, you widen your possibilities in the international labour market as your degrees are recognised in different countries. This will pose a major advantage when you work in a global context.
Double degrees can currently be obtained at the following partner universities:
We highly encourage you to take advantage of the option to obtain a double degree from one of our partner universities. Within the framework of a Double Degree cooperation, you will receive your degree in two variants. Depending on the country you will work in, you are entitled to use one of the respective degrees. The use of both academic degrees simultaneously is not possible.
The International Relations Office at FH JOANNEUM endeavours to advise students in regard to external financial support for the semester abroad. The following financing options are currently available:
Please note that these scholarships are only granted under certain conditions. They partly depend on your home country, the host country, and your age. We cannot guarantee that each student receives a scholarship. However, there is the possibility for students to receive target group-specific or research-specific scholarships or mobility grants. A comprehensive overview of all scholarship programs by the Austrian Exchange Service (OeAD-GmbH) is available at www.grants.at.
Our International Coordinator will be happy to help you with any queries regarding the semester abroad.
