In addition to Leadership Competences, the first semester also includes the modules “Tools for Data Analytics”, “Operations Management” and “Industrial Management” or “Process Technology” on the curriculum. During the second semester, students take on the management of a project team as part of an industrial research project and work on a customer assignment in a national or international company. From the third semester onwards, students enter the specialisation “Business Transformation”.

What specialisations are available?

Business Transformation combines the concepts of the two other study tracks “Smart Production and Services” and “Supply Chain Engineering”. These specialisations each comprise two sub-areas: One that deals with these topics methodically and technologically, and one that examines transformation in business processes. Both transformation aspects are combined in “Business Transformation”. On the one hand, the methods of sustainable and digital production from “Smart Production and Services” are addressed, and on the other, supply chain management and digital transformation processes from “Supply Chain Engineering”. Students learn how to optimise the technological and methodological aspects of production and the supply chain as well as how to successfully implement these changes in companies and transform processes. Sustainability, innovation management, digitalisation and simulation play a key role in this.
