  • Leadership Competences
  • Supply Chain Engineering – Technical Sales / Marketing and Technical Procurement

  • Business Transformation
  • Research Project with industrial companies

In the first semester, in addition to leadership skills, the programme includes the topics “Tools for Data Analytics”, “Operations Management” and either “Industrial Management” or “Process Technology”. In an industrial research project in the second semester, students lead a project team and solve a problem in a national or international company. From the third semester onwards, you will begin your specialisation: “Business Transformation”.

What specialisations are available?

The “Business Transformation” study track is a combination of the two other specialisations “Smart Production and Services” and “Supply Chain Engineering”. Each of these specialisations consists of two parts: a methodological-technological part and a part that looks at the transformation of the respective topic in companies and processes. “Business Transformation” combines these two aspects of transformation. It focuses on sustainable and digital production as well as innovative production methods from the “Smart Production and Services” specialisation and on digital supply chain management and transformation management from the “Supply Chain Engineering” specialisation. Students learn not only how to optimise the technological and methodological aspects of production and the supply chain, but also how to successfully implement these changes in companies and transform processes. Topics such as sustainability, digitalisation, innovation management and simulation are central.

Study times, self-study and attendance

Courses take place from Monday to Friday during the semester. In the first two semesters, the aim is to have one day without lectures. The e-learning units are planned individually by the lecturers. In the fourth semester, there are only a few lectures on the timetable at the beginning, as students are mainly occupied with their Master’s thesis.

Self-study always depends on the commitment and ambition of our students.

Overall, 80 per cent attendance is compulsory for all Master’s degree programmes. If attendance falls below 80 per cent, students must provide compensation. The form of this performance is specified by the course management. In the event of uncertainties, the head of department decides on exceptions to the attendance requirement. In addition, students may be exempted from the 80 per cent attendance requirement in the event of illness upon presentation of a doctor’s certificate.
