Communication Design
AdmissionsIf you want to apply for this Master’s degree programme you need to have
- a relevant Bachelor’s degree or
- equivalent qualification.
The programme is taught in German and English. Proficiency in these two languages is a requirement.

Relevant Bachelor’s degree programmes currently include the course in Information Design offered by FH JOANNEUM as well as Bachelor’s courses of universities, universities of technology and universities of art and design in the following fields:
- Design
- Graphic design
- Interaction design
- Usability design
- Computer music
- Electrical engineering – sound engineer
- Communication design
- Media design
- Artistic design
- Architecture
- Interior design
- Stage design
- Marketing
- Informatics
- Journalism.
The degree must be from a recognised institution of postsecondary education in Austria or abroad.
In ambiguous cases, the head of degree programme will decide whether the candidate meets the admission requirements. You will be notified of the decision once we have received your full set of application documents.
