My Studies
A strong focus is placed on international networking. This is demonstrated by the fact that several lectures are held by international experts and an excursion abroad is scheduled for the third semester. A semester abroad, preferably in the third semester is possible, but not obligatory.
Partner Universities
Our partner universities are selected according to strict criteria. As the syllabus of our degree programme has a very specific focus, the selection of suitable courses is closely coordinated with us. You will not have to pay tuition fees at our partner universities.
Financial Support
The International Relations Office at FH JOANNEUM endeavours to advise students in regard to external financial support for the semester abroad. The following financing options are currently available:
- the “Erasmus +” grant to study abroad in the 28 EU Member States plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia and Turkey
- the “Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility“: Scholarship for semesters abroad at selected non-European partner universities
- the Swiss European Mobility Programme for students who want to spend their semester abroad in Switzerland
- the CEEPUS-Scholarship for a study abroad at one selected CEEPUS partner university in Central and Eastern Europe.
Please note that these scholarships are only granted under certain conditions. They partly depend on your home country, the host country, and your age. We cannot guarantee that each student receives a scholarship. However, there is the possibility for students to receive target group-specific or research-specific scholarships or mobility grants. A comprehensive overview of all scholarship programs by the Austrian Exchange Service (OeAD-GmbH) is available at www.grants.at.
