Do I meet the admission requirements?
If you want to apply for this Master’s degree programme you need to have
- a relevant Bachelor’s degree or
- an equivalent qualification
The programme is taught in German. Selected courses are also taught in English. With language skills at level B2, you will be able to follow the course content without any problems. Please confirm your language skills with a certificate if you are not listed on your school-leaving certificate or similar diploma.
Details on the admission requirements
The Master’s degree programme is open to holders of
- a Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in tourism, leisure, health sciences, sport, exercise, events or training
- a relevant degree in economic, health, social or natural science studies.
Relevant Bachelor’s degrees currently include
- Health and Tourism Management from FH JOANNEUM and
- Bachelor’s degrees from other universities and universities of applied sciences in the fields of tourism, leisure, sport, exercise, events, natural sciences, computer science, economic and social sciences.
These include, for example - tourism management
- marketing
- business management
- sport science
- information design
The degree must be from a recognised institution of post-secondary education in Austria or abroad.
If the admission requirements are not fully met the necessary examinations from the Health and Tourism Management Bachelor‘s programme can be taken during the Master‘s programme.
In ambiguous cases, the head of degree programme will decide whether the candidate meets the admission requirements. You will be notified of the decision once we have received your full set of application documents.
