AdmissionsWhat else do I need to bear in mind when applying?
You need to supply the same documents as Austrian applicants. In addition, you are required to furnish
- proof of sufficient knowledge of English. Language competency must be equivalent to Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and may be provided in the form of
- a TOEFL Certificate (min. 87 points),
- a TELC Certificate,
- a Cambridge Certificate (First Certificate in English – FCE),
- an IELTS Certificate,
- a PTE Academic Certificate (Pearson Test of English; min. 59 points)
- an Austrian secondary school leaving certificate or
- another equivalent school certificate.

You are also invited to make use of our language courses, the Orientation Programme and other services offered by the Department of International Relations to help you settle in at FH JOANNEUM.

TECH!Southeast: New scholarship scheme for engineering Master’s students from South-Eastern Europe
The FH JOANNEUM scholarships are open to citizens from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Croatia, Moldavia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Hungary, and Cyprus. Applicants must have successfully completed the admissions process for one of the following FH JOANNEUM Master’s degree programmes: Automotive Engineering, Aviation, Electronics and Computer Engineering, or System Test Engineering. Four two-year scholarships of 4,000 euros each are awarded each year.
