As global air traffic grows, so does the urgency to create sustainable solutions. We specialize in advancing electric, hybrid, and hydrogen propulsion systems that significantly reduce emissions and combat climate change. By driving innovations in fuel technologies, engine designs, and storage systems, we contribute to the aviation industry’s net-zero emissions goals.
Our expertise ranges from thermodynamic modelling of individual system components and complete systems to CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) multiphase simulations, test rig design and experimental investigations to ensure both performance efficiency and safety.
Additionally, we focus on safety-critical component analysis, identifying and mitigating potential risks in propulsion systems to ensure compliance with the highest safety standards.
Next to evaluating new propulsion ideas, T&T Aircraft Propulsion Systems excels in comprehensive CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) modeling of entire systems and individual components. This allows us to simulate complex interactions, test innovative designs, and optimize performance across various operational scenarios.
As part of FH JOANNEUM GmbH, we have been instrumental in projects like LIQORNE and IRON LIQORNE, which explore the integration of low-pressure liquid hydrogen (LH2) into aviation fuel systems.
These projects demonstrate our ability to apply multiphase CFD simulations and cryogenic system analysis to tackle challenges such as flow control and fuel vaporization, bringing us closer to realizing efficient and sustainable aviation technologies.
Through these efforts, T&T Aircraft Propulsion Systems remains at the forefront of research, continuously pushing the boundaries of propulsion, innovation, safety, and sustainability.
