About EU4DUAL

Seit Januar 2023 ist die FH JOANNEUM bereits Teil des vier Jahre dauernden EU-Projekts EU4DUAL

EU4DUAL is one of the 64 European University Alliances funded by the European Commission. The vision of EU4DUAL is to form the world’s largest dual higher education institution in which universities, industry and regions work together to ensure a high-quality educational offer.

Nine European universities and universities of applied sciences and 35 associated industry partners are currently involved in the project. In total, the alliance has over 70,000 students in 588 study programs at 40 locations in 9 countries.

By introducing new and flexible learning pathways for dual education, including two joint master’s programs and a joint doctoral program, EU4DUAL aims to equip students with the necessary skills to tackle three of the Grand Challenges facing Europe in the future.

The three challenges that EU4DUAL focuses on are:

  • Future of Work
  • Green Economy
  • Healthy Living

EU4DUAL will set up a joint micro-credential portal that will be available to students and staff at all partner institutions. In addition, the universities will collaborate on research projects related to the three Grand Challenges. Another important goal is to enable at least 50 percent of our students and staff to gain mobility experience at the partner universities. An EU4DUAL Local Office has been set up at FH JOANNEUM. Here you can find out more about the project staff and their tasks and responsibilities.
