Dual engineering course
The co-operative or dual education system, which originated in the Anglo-American world but is becoming increasingly popular in Europe, was considered to be particularly suitable as it is flexible and adapts very rapidly to evolving economic and technological circumstances.
Mechatronics, shipbuilding and production technology
Universities in Sibiu, Varna and Pula joined forces with higher education institutions in Europe with experience in co-operative education in order to develop and implement three engineering Bachelor’s degree courses in mechatronics, shipbuilding and production technology.
Developing the courses involves creating an appropriate curriculum and a toolkit for structuring, assessing and documenting practical training for both the academic and the vocational mentors.
This will ultimately result in methodical guidelines for designing and implementing practice-integrated university courses in technological disciplines which meet the relevant national framework conditions and also European standards.
