Summary

There are different types of higher education institutions in Austria, each with its own focus. The degrees, however, are of equal value, and it’s possible to switch between types of institutions after completing a program.

The advantages of a University of Applied Sciences are the practical approach, the fixed study duration, and the excellent job prospects after graduation.

To study at FH JOANNEUM, you need to complete an application and admission process, you need to have general university entrance qualification for a Bachelor’s degree or a relevant Bachelor’s degree if you’re applying for a Master’s programme. For German-language programs, provide proof of at least B2-level proficiency in German. The same goes for English study programs. The admission process varies by program.

You can study in Graz, Bad Gleichenberg, or Kapfenberg, and each location offers housing and leisure activities.

There is no tuition fee for students from EU / EET or Swizerland.
