FH JOANNEUM celebrated its Erasmus Day on 17 October 2024 with a programme dedicated to the most successful EU programme of all time. Once again this year, the FH JOANNEUM campus courtyard was resplendent in the colours of many different national flags. Visitors were provided with information on how to maximise their experience abroad during their studies. ‘We want to offer students and staff the best possible preparation for an unforgettable stay abroad and are delighted with the interest shown by our students and staff,’ says Stefan Strohmaier, Erasmus Coordinator at FH JOANNEUM.
Internationalise yourself
Internationality is a way of life at FH JOANNEUM and FH JOANNEUM students also like to go abroad: almost half of Bachelor’s and Master’s students spend a semester or internship abroad during their degree programme. With more than 300 international partner universities, FH JOANNEUM has an excellent international network. Conversely, FH JOANNEUM is very popular with international students as a host university: 328 incoming students came to FH JOANNEUM in the academic year 2023/2024.
A comprehensive Internationalisation@Home programme is offered to incoming students, regular students and FH JOANNEUM staff. Intercultural events such as cultural evenings, international cooking sessions and pub quizzes are organised regularly at all three locations.
The CAMPUS LinguaNEUM programme was also presented at Erasmus Day: CAMPUS LinguaNEUM offers a variety of language courses and workshops that focus on the ability to communicate successfully and enjoyably with people in other languages, as well as on linguistic action.
European University EU4DUAL
The European University EU4DUAL also took part in Erasmus Day as a major European project. An important goal of EU4DUAL is to promote mobility within the Alliance and create new international mobility opportunities for students and staff. Highly coveted by visitors: the EU4DUAL-branded apples.
