EU4DUAL General Secretary visits FH JOANNEUM
On January 10th and 11th 2024, EU4DUAL General Secretary John Harris visited FH JOANNEUM. John Harris was elected General Secretary of the European University Alliance EU4DUAL in June 2023 and works at the EU4DUAL central office located in Stuttgart. During his first visit to FH JOANNEUM, he met with the managing directors at FH JOANNEUM as well as with the EU4DUAL project team. An important topic of the meeting was the planning of the next EU4DUAL Rector’s Council meeting, which will take place at FH JOANNEUM in February 2024.
John Harris, EU4DUAL General Secretary: I am very grateful to the FH JOANNEUM for the opportunity to come here and get to know the colleagues working on this wonderful endeavor, EU4DUAL. It is truly impressive to see what kinds of structures the FHJ has set up internally for the work in EU4DUAL – and with the ceremonial EU4DUAL tree-planting, the FHJ was the trend-setter! The knowledge I gained on this visit will be invaluable to me in my work as Secretary General of the Alliance. For all of that and the great hospitality, the FH JOANNEUM has my warmest thanks.
Roswitha Wiedenhofer-Bornemann, head of EU4DUAL at FH JOANNEUM: It was a pleasure for us to host John Harris – we could discuss several important topics especially from a strategic perspective and outline our expectations. Given his sound international experience he supports our consortium at the interface to our international stakeholders in a best manner and will really facilitate our activities targeting economy, science, and public entities as well.
Together with eight other universities in Europe, FH JOANNEUM is part of the European University Alliance EU4DUAL.
