Today information is potentially unlimited and increasingly accessible. Despite its increasing volume, it is still difficult to collect, analyse, and communicate. This master’s thesis examines how information can be conveyed in a more comprehensible and meaningful way through visual storytelling and data storytelling. The results are presented in the form of a handbook that gives other designers access to these tools. It has been shown that visual and narrative storytelling can be used in every aspect of information communication. By integrating visual and narrative storytelling techniques into the communication strategy at an early stage, designers can convey information in an innovative, clear, creative and meaningful way.
