In this Bachelor’s thesis in Information Design different aspects of repetition are analysed and a links between psychology, art and design are created. From architecture to music to profound structures in nature – repetition surrounds us and manages to manipulate and stimulate our minds in certain ways. Whether it is about improving our memory or increasing credibility through repetitive exposure – understanding the impact repetition has on the perceiver, how it works, where it comes to effect at its best as well as knowing when to avoid it, can help to create powerful design.
