Augmented reality is not a new idea, but it is only in the last few years that it has become widely integrated into everyone’s everyday life due to the advancement of technology. Because of AR, the term of digitalisation has gained more significance than ever before and a fluid transition between the real and the virtual world has arisen. Not surprisingly, AR has also found its way into the book industry.
The author of this master’s thesis deals with the potential of this combination of analogue and digital media through both theoretical research and a practical part, in which the process of creating an AR picture book from the idea to the final product is illustrated.
