LETHE – Rule Editor

The LETHE H2020 project is conducting a 2-year study to provide older people with digital interventions for a healthier lifestyle.

These interventions are based on studies that have shown that a healthy diet, exercise, social contact, adequate sleep, cognitive exercise and stress management can positively influence cognitive performance. Data are collected from study participants and used to define personalized digital interventions based on medical expertise from various disciplines in the form of clear “rules”. These rules are examples of possible use cases and are visualized in the LETHE Dashboard. With the help of these rules, which have been defined with clinicians, certain intervention processes are to be controlled automatically. The focus is on the modularity of the rules because they can be exchanged and adapted to the patients.

Objectives

The aim is a customized LETHE RuleEditor in which clinicians can create and integrate rules, independent of developers. The following possible use cases (rules) are visualized in the LETHE Dashboard:

  • Last LETHE App login status with traffic light system buttons
  • Absences
  • CAIDE score (Cardiovascular Risk Factors, Aging and Dementia) calculation and display
  • Blood pressure (minimum or maximum)
  • Allergies

Result

The result is a JSON RuleEditor where rules can be defined. Additionally, the LETHE Dashboard has been enhanced with corresponding buttons and information regarding the CAIDE score, blood pressure and allergy status.
