The increase in information offered by digital development, together with the diverse possibilities for mediation are presenting an increasing challenge to designers in terms of the visual design of information. How can information graphics have a positive influence on mediation in exhibition design? To that end, the fundamental content requirements and design aspects which constitute good information graphics are examined, and it is shown how a suitable form of presentation can be found in order to convey messages clearly. This thesis should serve as a guide for exhibition and information designers who make use of information graphics, as well as an incentive to utilize information graphics for mediation purposes in exhibition design.
