Pot and Lid / Cooking

Through intensive research at Lebenshilfe Graz, a deep insight into the everyday problems of mentally impaired people has been obtained. Due to a lack of understanding for healthy nutrition, mostly convenience food is consumed by this group. The envisioned product system is intended to empower mentally impaired people with the ability to prepare healthy meals on their own. In this context, it was important to redesign the process around cooking and to communicate complex systems in a simplified and meaningful way. Any dependence on number systems, sequences, language, and abstract information that would leave room for interpretation was avoided by the design.
