Miriam Leitinger’s master’s thesis focuses on the illustrative approach to visualizing personalities in an unconventional way. The author operates at the intersection of psychology and conducts two empirical studies, among other methods, to investigate the research question. These studies are conducted with fifteen people of different ages and genders. The personality is ultimately visualized in three different ways: one of them, ‘My Self-Image,’ is created by the respondents themselves using a modular system. ‘Your External Image,’ the second variant, is created by the author in the form of an infographic summarizing all relevant information about the person. The third image, ‘An Image,’ is created by Artificial Intelligence (ChatGPT + Midjourney). The goal of the thesis was to highlight and explore the differences between the resulting images.
