This master thesis deals with the reduction of food waste and the design of an energy cycle in the kitchen. Sensor-based technologies were used to create optimal conditions for storing different food groups. This type of food storage enables better integration into the cooking process and provides a clear overview of the stored products. The system helps the user to develop environmentally friendly food handling habits by indicating the correct storage location for the products and highlighting the most frequently wasted foods. The system is designed for modularity and durability, which is reflected in the consistent product language and timeless design.
