The Swarovski Diverscope enables scuba divers to gain a closer look onto aquatic life. Due to magnification factor, structures such as corals will be displayed in detail without the necessity of getting up-close. Coral reefs count among the richest and most diverse ecosystems on the planet, yet this sensitive balance is increasingly at risk. In the years to come there will be a total loss of 70 to 90% of all coral-reefs. It is hence a great urgency to protect this sensitive and complex habitat. There is a trend in scuba diving sports to document and photograph everything – to simply “enjoy the moment” in contrast is being neglected however.
