In order to really understand the difficulties of the VR medium, the medium itself, as well as well‒known storytelling techniques, were examined more closely.
The solutions are focused on guiding the audience through the virtual world, including the environment and characters, while attempting to motivate them to follow the narrative. These techniques were applied in a game concept which was attached to this thesis. A demo version of this concept was created and tested on 22 people. Their feedback shows that 68% of them were successfully guided along the intended trail, when both acoustic and visual references as well as dialogue tips were used.
