Profile
Dipl.Ing. Dr.techn. Karl H. Reisinger graduated in 1992 from the Technical University of Graz (Austria). From 1992 to 1998 he worked at the Technical University of Graz as a Research Assistant and investigated the dynamic behaviour of electronically controlled AS/RS machines, finishing 1998 with PhD degree.
Starting in 1999 at Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik, he installed Hardware in the Loop Simulation into the software engineering process and concerned himself with control of all wheel drive systems. In 2003 he changed to Magna Powertrain at Lannach/Graz to lead the department of Mechatronic Systems Engineering concerning with concepts and serial development of actuatorics and software for drivetrain components. Products still on road have been all wheel drive systems, a torque vectoring gearbox and parking brakes for German, British and Japan customers.
Since 09/2007 he has been working at the FH Joanneum as Associated Professor. He is responsable for mechatronics at the Bachellor's and Master's degree programs at the Institute of Automotive Engineering. The focus is vehicle dynamics, control engineering and Mechatronic Systems Engineering.
R&D activities focus on test and simulation of drivetrain components and simulation and measurement of the efficiency of automotive gearboxes.
