Dr. Leonhard Oberascher, born in 1955, has been a freelance design consultant, colour designer, psychologist and artist since 1985. Main focus: Colour & Light, architectural and design psychology, trend research and product development, colour and material concepts, colour-light installations, colour education. 1980 Mag. art. (studies stage design / University of Music and Performing Arts "Mozarteum", Salzburg). 1986 Dr. phil. (Study of Psychology / Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Salzburg). Since 1995 Lecturer at FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences, Graz / Department of Industrial Design.

Teaching and lecturing activities: University of Salzburg / Institute of Psychology, TU Vienna / Institute for Spatial Simulation, Danube University Krems / Daylight Architecture / Lighting Design, SCUT / South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, CN Numerous congress contributions, seminars, lectures (including www.aic-color.org).
1989-1993 Executive Committee AIC (Association Internationale de la Couleur).
1993-2008 Nowotny & Oberascher - Colour & Art, AT.
1998-2011 Chair/Co-chair AIC Study Group for Environmental Colour Design.
2001-2012 Co-founder and partner of "grappa design approach".
