Martin Neubauer, born in 1972 received his Master’s Degree and Doctorate in Economic and Social Sciences at the Karl-Franzens-University (Graz/Austria) and was studying Russian (including studies of French, Croatian and Serbian) at the Karl-Franzens-University (Graz/Austria) and the Moscow Linguistic State University (Moscow/Russia). For his dissertation “Blended Learning as alternative to presence training” he obtained the promotion of “Grazer Wechselseitige Versicherung“ (Insurance Company) and “Arbeiterkammer Steiermark” (Chamber of Labour).

Since February 2013 he works in the field of education for Basic Element, a diversified industrial group made up of over 100 Russian and international companies and facilities. The activities include sectors such as energy, metals and mining, machinery, aviation, financial services and agriculture and is owned by Oleg V. Deripaska. From November 2011 until January 2013 he worked as internal consultant and lecturer for the corporate university of the GAZ group, Russia’s largest automotive engineering holding. From January 2008 until August 2011 he worked in Moscow/Russia for Oleg V. Deripaska, where he was responsible for private issues of Mr. Deripaska.

From January 2003 until December 2007 he worked at FH JOANNEUM (JOANNEUM University of Applied sciences) as senior lecturer and researcher in the field of Operations Management, International Market Entry Strategies, Entrepreneurship and Cross Cultural Management at the Department of International Management and the Department of Aviation. He lectures at universities in the USA, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Mexico and Colombia among others.

Before that he served as consultant to bit management as advisor for Start-Up companies, as head of the vocational training department of the Austrian Academy for Managers (Österreichische Akademie für Führungskräfte), and as assistant in the accountancy of a multinational company in the timber industry (Holzindustrie Leitinger) supporting the integration of the Russian daughter company in the Austrian mother organization, among others. He completed a traineeship at a multinational media company (Styria Medien AG).
