How can I be admitted as an international applicant?

Am I an international applicant?

You are an international applicant if you are not an Austrian citizen, but

• from an EU country, the EEA or Switzerland, or
• from a third country.

What requirements do I have to meet?

Basically, you will have to meet the same requirements as Austrian students and you have the same chances of being admitted. But there are some special things to note.

What documents do I have to submit?

You need to supply the same documents as Austrian applicants.

What deadlines are there?

Deadline for meeting admission requirements:

• Applicants with educational documents issued in the EU, the EEA and Switzerland: beginning of the course at the latest
• Applicants with educational documents issued in a third country: by matriculation at the latest

How does the admission procedure work and what happens afterwards?

It is the same as for Austrian applicants. You will need to go through an admission procedure and will subsequently be informed about the results.

What costs are involved? Does FH JOANNEUM charge tuition fees?

The costs amount to 5,500 euros per semester plus any semester fees payable to the partners.

How do I prepare for my stay at FH JOANNEUM?
