Students can spend their fifth or sixth semester abroad. They can complete a vocational internship abroad or study at one of our partner universities for a semester. Both forms (internship and study abroad) are eligible for a grant under the ERASMUS programme by meeting certain prerequisites. Students can expand their horizons during a trip abroad and get to know other perspectives and cultures.
To ensure optimal planning, students should decide during their second year of study whether they wish to undertake a study period abroad and apply for a place. The selection process is down to the head of the degree programme.
When it comes to planning and contacting partner universities, students receive support from the contact person at the degree programme as well as the International Relations division at FH JOANNEUM both in person and through general information events.
Our International Coordinator will be happy to help you with any queries regarding the semester abroad.
