My StudiesDuring the fourth semester, an integrated internship provides our students with the ideal preparation for starting out their career. This is an opportunity to gain a foothold at interesting companies while still studying. Faraway destinations like China, South America and the USA are particularly popular for these internships. The absolute highlights in the past year were the internships available at Six Senses in the Maldives and at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bali.

My biggest success / My greatest experience
I was able to experience the excitement when the South American Football Championships took place in Chile: strict safety precautions, a host of press people and fans in and around the hotel and special treatment for the teams which stayed at the Ritz Carlton.
How I secured the internship
I sent a speculative application because the Ritz Carlton has an excellent reputation across the world and it was also a great opportunity to perfect my Spanish! The application process is very lengthy and I had to pass five interview rounds, which is the minimum for the Ritz Carlton.
What I want to do in the future
The internship helped me a great deal in terms of providing excellent quality service. An internship with a renowned company like the Ritz Carlton has also proven to be very useful on my CV! The overseas experience has also motivated me to get to know other cultures and places. At present, I work in the management of a health club and fitness studio in London.
