What I did
I designed interior components such as steering wheels and gear knobs, did various draft designs in the form of paper sketches and digital Photoshop designs and worked with a CAD modeller to implement my design in 3D.
Why I enjoyed my internship
- As an intern, I had the opportunity of working on series development at Audi Design.
- I gained fascinating insight into various other technical fields.
- I was able to work as part of a professional, highly committed and helpful team.
What I learned
During my internship, I was able to develop both my design vocabulary and my drawing presentation skills. Being able to work independently and take responsibility for my area of work was also an important experience for me.
My biggest success
Working on a new Audi show car was a real highlight of my internship. I was very proud to be able to contribute to this as part of the team.
How I secured the internship
A guest lecturer on the course works for Audi’s interior design department. I sent my application and portfolio to him and then things took off from there.
What I want to do in the future
My internship with Audi Design confirmed that I had chosen the right course. The work of an interior designer is very diverse and every day you are confronted with new challenges. That’s why I hope to work in this field in the future too. Audi Design in Ingolstadt would be a great start to my career.
