Food: Product and Process Design

 

We stand for ecologically sustainable and economically efficient food production. During the course, you will further develop your knowledge of food processing and refining processes. The topics covered range from product development and process design to quality management and innovation of production lines and systems. Our graduates are trained in using the latest technologies and meeting all relevant food safety requirements.

The cooperative education course is therefore aimed in particular at those taking on agricultural businesses or commercial start-ups and who wish to enter the world of processing and direct marketing with some innovative product ideas.

You will work and research in the laboratories of the Institute of Applied Production Sciences at FH JOANNEUM and at the production plants of our project partners.

… that you can obtain certification as a Quality Management Technician specialising in food safety?

The pre-requisite for this is the Hygiene Manager certificate which you can obtain during your first year of study by attending the relevant classes of the Bachelor’s programme in Sustainable Food Management.
