Admission requirements
You meet the formal requirements for this Master’s degree programme if you have
- a relevant Bachelor’s or Diploma degree or
- an equivalent post-secondary education.
There are currently three ways to meet the admission requirements:
1.) The admission requirements will be considered to be met if you have a Bachelor’s degree of at least 180 ECTS credits (or an equivalent degree) from an FH JOANNEUM degree programme at the Department of Applied Computer Sciences, e.g.:
- eHealth
- Information Management
- Mobile Software Development
- Internet Technology
- Software Design
- Production Technology and Organization
2.) The admission requirements will be considered to be met if you have a Bachelor’s degree of at least 180 ECTS credits (or an equivalent degree) in one of the following disciplines:
- Mathematics, statistics or related disciplines
- Informatics, telematics, information management, business informatics or related disciplines
- Physics, electrical engineering, electronics or related disciplines
- Economics, econometrics or related disciplines
- Automotive engineering, aviation or related disciplines
The name of the degree programme is not relevant in this context; the important thing is that one or more of the above disciplines must be part of the core curriculum for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree). In case of doubt, the level of scientific education provided in subjects such as mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, informatics and applied informatics will also be taken into account. For example, the following FH JOANNEUM degree programmes meet the admission requirements:
- Electronics and Computer Engineering
- Aviation
- Automotive Engineering
Additionally, the following Bachelor’s degree programmes meet the admission requirements:
- ESS / NAWI-TECH (Environmental System Sciences / Natural Sciences-Technology)
- ESS / VWL (Environmental System Sciences / Economics)
3.) The admission requirements will be considered to be met if you have a Bachelor’s degree of at least 180 ECTS credits (or an equivalent degree) and at least 50 ECTS credits in the fields of mathematics and applied mathematics, statistics and/or informatics and applied informatics.
