What I do
I plan market entry strategies and expansion plans with the directors of the local subsidiaries and the international sales managers and implement them with my team. I maintain personal contacts with the world’s most important customers. In addition, I am responsible for the marketing of the two brands XAL and Wever & Ducre. The team for online and offline marketing activities has 14 employees. In addition, I am a member of the Board of Directors, which is responsible for the economic performance of XAL and controls the enterprise group.
The leadership of a motivated field and office team is a central element of success.

Because my job is very varied, and I face new challenges each day. I can quickly implement my ideas in all areas with a great team, thereby helping to shape the company’s progress.

The best experiences in my job
XAL bought its bankrupt Belgian lighting brand Wever & Ducre from a bank. I could help give the brand a young image, to develop new products and to build up a new global sales structure. Today, Wever & Ducre is again highly successful both in terms of sales and earnings.
