The Institute of Biomedical Science has seven state-of-the art laboratories for teaching, learning and research. These include:
- a laboratory for medical and chemical diagnostics,
- a laboratory for histology and microbiology,
- a laboratory for microbiological cell culture and nuclear medicine,
- a laboratory for chemistry and immunology and
- a Laboratory for polymer and migration Analysis .
The Laboratory for chromatographic and spectrometric analysis is equipped with cutting-edge chromatography-mass spectrometry systems, which students and teaching staff can use for research. The laboratory is equipped to handle analytical tasks in the following research areas:
- In-process purity testing and identification of impurities
- Migrating packaging components: extractables and leachables
- Method development for biomarker identification
