Combining job and training
The course is aimed in particular at people who are confronted with the influences and effects of digitalisation and the increasing use of digital media in their everyday professional lives and who would like to professionally integrate these factors into their work context.
Students gain a deep and comprehensive understanding of how digital networks and environments work and the expertise needed for critical discussion and interpretation. These skills are directly applicable to their professional lives. The course is organised on a part-time basis in the form of block classes at the weekends, thus enabling participants to hold down a job while studying.
Students without the relevant professional experience receive high-quality training that prepares them for jobs in a variety of sectors. Graduates of this postgraduate Master’s course have expertise in the field of online communication coupled with sociological-pedagogical background knowledge. This not only enables them to work with social and digital networks, but also to analyse and evaluate these networks, for example in a teaching role.
The mix of students with different professional experiences from different occupational fields leads to a lively exchange and intensive networking, which can continue beyond the course.
