Die Masterarbeit „Infocastle“ von Communication-Design-Student Basem El Koury wurde mit dem Creative Communication Award 2019 worden.
Im Oktober 2019 verbrachten wir, Studierende des Studiengangs „Informationsdesign“, eine Woche in Berlin. Zum einen versprachen wir uns davon viel Inspiration, zum anderen wollten wir Kontakte knüpfen, die für unseren Werdegang in den Vertiefungsrichtungen Interaction und Media Design von Vorteil sein könnten.
Vor mittlerweile fünf Jahren entstand das Projekt Dogdays of summer. Gegründet von Clarissa Kober, Diana Ranegger und Johanna Kohlenberger auf dem Gedanken der Nachhaltigkeit, betreiben die drei mittlerweile neben einem fixen Standort in Graz und dem eigenen Onlineshop auch einen Blog, der sich unter anderem mit dem Thema Nachhaltigkeit – nicht nur in der Kleidungsindustrie – befasst.
Die Studierenden der Vertiefung Communication Design waren zu Beginn des 5. Semesters auf Exkursion in Warschau, Polen. Ein ungewöhnliches Ziel für Designerinnen und Designer, jedoch umso interessanter, weil eben noch nicht alles perfekt und hipp gestaltet ist wie in der großen Designhauptstadt Berlin – es gibt echte Probleme.
Am Tag nach ihrer Performance im Dom im Berg, besuchte die Medienkünstlerin Michela Pelusio das Institut Design & Kommunikation der FH JOANNEUM.
Anfang Oktober fanden am Institut Design & Kommunikation Kick-off-Veranstaltungen statt, um die neuen Studierenden willkommen zu heißen.
Von 5 bis 9 September fand im Rahmen des Ars Electronica Festivals 2019 die Ausstellung “The Messy Shape of Problems” des Academic Design Network Austria statt.
