How do I apply?

You can apply if you meet the admission requirements.

Step 1: Gather the required documents.

Your application must contain the following documents:

  • a signed letter of application

  • a signed CV

  • a documentary evidence that you have completed a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
    This evidence is not required for FH JOANNEUM graduates.

  • a Transcript of Records for verifying compliance with the admission requirements.
    This evidence is not required for FH JOANNEUM graduates.

Tip

If you do not yet have your Austrian documents (Bachelor or Diploma certificate) at the time of submitting your application, you can submit them by the start of your course. Separate guidelines apply for documents submitted by international applicants. If you have any questions please send an email to bewerbung@fh-joanneum.at.

The letter of application and the CV must be submitted in English. Other application documents (with the exception of copies of original documents) can be submitted in English or German.

  • a proof of qualification for university entrance
    This evidence is not required for FH JOANNEUM graduates.

  • a proof of proficiency in English
    The level of competence in English language must be equivalent to Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (see www.goethe.de).
    Proof of proficiency in English must be provided in the form of a TOEFL Certificate (min. 87 points), a TELC Certificate (B2), a Cambridge Certificate (First Certificate in English, FCE), an IELTS Certificate (5.0), a PTE Academic Certificate (Pearson Test of English; min. 59 points), an Austrian secondary school leaving certificate or another equivalent school certificate.

  • a copy of your citizenship certificate or passport
    This evidence is not required for FH JOANNEUM graduates.

Power Electronic Engineering is a study track of the Master’s degree programme in Electronics and Computer Engineering. If you wish to apply for this specialisation, please select Electronics and Computer Engineering and then the study track in your online application.

Tip

Adhere to the application deadline and ensure that your documents are complete and signed before you send them off. Only then will your application be accepted.

Step 3: Wait to be invited to the admissions process.

Your application will be checked by the Study Administration division. You will receive an email to confirm that your documents are complete and that you meet the admission requirements within two weeks of submission. You will receive an email with detailed information about the admissions process in good time before the date.
