What I do:
My colleagues and I provide radiological services for all patients at the six surgical clinics of the University Hospital Graz. I work in the emergency department, outpatient departments, intensive care units and the day clinic and in various operating rooms. My responsibilities range from conventional imaging through to assistance in complex interdisciplinary surgical interventions using state-of-the-art hybrid facilities.
Why I love my job and what is important to me:
I’m enthusiastic about my job because every day and every shift bring new challenges. I also love the diversity my job as a radiographer offers. So each day at work is an exciting experience, which is very important to me.

Outlook
While working at the hospital, I also completed a Master’s degree in Medical Physics at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern in Germany. This gave me an excellent grounding for additional tasks and skills, especially in the fields of radiation physics, radiation protection and medical image processing. I particularly enjoy training the experts of the future.
