Module 1: Developing business ideas
We will introduce you to the world of business development, entrepreneurship and innovation. Acquire fundamental knowledge of the business development process and innovative business models. Discover how to understand the market and your customers by analysing target groups, conducting market research, and gaining valuable insights. Identify problems and develop innovative solutions for shaping your business idea.
Module 2: Modelling business plans
Validate your solution using the lean approach, minimum viable products (MVP) and prototyping methods. Discover how you can design business models and check the viability of your business ideas using business modelling tools such as Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas and Lean Canvas. Discover the potential of intrapreneurship projects, and learn how to effectively involve employees and resources within your research institution.
Module 3: Implementing business plans
Acquire in-depth knowledge of financial planning and innovation accounting in order to implement your business ideas successfully. Learn the fundamentals of financial planning, draw up convincing financial plans, and learn to evaluate business models. Obtain an overview of the legal provisions, with a focus on intellectual property and patent law in order to protect your ideas. Sharpen your presentation skills, develop impressive pitch decks, and master the art of storytelling to successfully present your solutions.
Module 4: Final project – your path to success!
The final project is the highlight of the Science2Business Development programme and offers you a unique opportunity to put your newly acquired know-how into practice. You will develop and present your own viable business idea as a means of demonstrating your knowledge and skills. The final project may take the form of a business plan or a funding application.
