What specialisations are available?
In the “Smart Production and Services” study track, you will acquire additional skills in the much-discussed intersection between production and IT. On the one hand, the focus is on technological foundations such as cyber-physical systems and operational information systems. On the other hand, you will deal with the digital transformation of companies and the resulting new processes and business models, particularly in the area of service engineering. The aim is to improve the competitiveness of domestic production companies through increased efficiency, greater flexibility and innovative business models. During your studies, you will actively shape the conception and transformation of Industry 4.0. The Smart Production Lab, one of the largest teaching and research factories in Austria, is available to you for this purpose at the Kapfenberg campus.
