After Graduation

Career paths

In 2011, the first students started our Master’s programme in International Industrial Management, and so far we have been able to release thirteen completed Master’s graduates into the professional world. It has become clear that the graduates are very much in demand in the professional world – experience has shown that the majority of students have a permanent position even before completing their studies.

Diverse careers show that our graduates are very successful. The professions and careers as well as the industries are very diverse – just like the degree programme. Below is a selection of career prospects and fields of activity for our graduates of the Master’s degree programme in International Industrial Management:

  • Management positions in logistics and materials management
  • Technical buyer or head of a purchasing department
  • (Technical) salesperson or head of a sales department
  • Production management and control
  • Project management and process management
  • Controlling and corporate management
  • Technical marketing (service engineering) and sales strategies
  • Digital transformation and Industry 4.0 projects

As interdisciplinary industrial engineers, graduates are able to combine technical and commercial thinking and bridge interfaces between different areas of the company. They are therefore qualified for a variety of management positions in manufacturing companies. In addition, the degree programme also offers the opportunity to work in research and development, for example in digitalisation and Industry 4.0 projects.
